Syslog Server Audit Integration
NirvaShare supports Syslog Server Audit Integration, allowing organizations to forward audit events to a Syslog server or SIEM solution for centralized monitoring and compliance. Audit logging helps organizations analyze user activities, monitor security events, and meet compliance requirements.
Syslog servers are widely used because they are easy to configure, support Linux, Unix, and macOS environments, and provide efficient log management.
Syslog Server Configuration
Follow these steps to configure Syslog Server integration:
- Log in to the NirvaShare Admin Console.
- From the left menu, click Settings, and then select Audit.
- Go to the Syslog Server section and click Edit.
- Enable the Syslog Server option.
- Enter the Server Host using the IP address or host name of the Syslog server and specify the Port number.
- Select the required Protocol and RFC Format.
- If the Syslog server uses SSL, enable the SSL option.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
- To verify the configuration, click Test. This sends a test audit event to the configured Syslog server.
Once configured, all audit events generated in NirvaShare are forwarded to the configured Syslog server or SIEM solution.
