Access Users

Access Users are users who require access to shared files and folders without administrative privileges. They can perform actions such as viewing, uploading, downloading, editing, or deleting content based on the permissions assigned to the share.

Create User

To create a new user, follow the steps below:

  • Log in to the Admin Console as an administrator.
  • From the left navigation menu, click Users.
  • Click New User in the top-right corner.
  • Enter the Username and other required user details.
  • Select the Login Profile to assign to the user.
  • Click CREATE USER.

Note: Access Users can be assigned only to the following Login Profile types:

  • None
  • Form Based (Group of Users)
  • External Single Sign-On (SSO)

Note: Selecting None creates an orphan user. Orphan users are not associated with any Login Profile and cannot authenticate until a supported Login Profile is assigned.

Access User information, including the assigned Login Profile, can be updated at any time by editing the user.

Set Password

Passwords can be set only for users assigned to Form Based (Group of Users) and None Login Profiles. Passwords cannot be set for users assigned to External Single Sign-On (SSO) Login Profiles, as authentication is managed by the external Identity Provider. For more information, refer to the Set Password for Access User documentation.
