Form based Authentication (Multiple Users)
In this document, we will look into the process of creating a login profile for Form based authentication that will prompt you to enter a username and password while accessing the shares. One or more access users can be assigned to this login profile.
Login Profile
Follow the below steps to create a new Form based login profile for multiple users.
- Click on Login Profiles from the left menu of Admin Console.
- Click on CREATE button from the top right corner.
- Under the basic info tab, provide a title name and description (optional).
Access
- Provide an IP Address or IP Addresses in the IP Address Restriction field.
- Choose the language in the Language field. By default it is set to English.
Note – To restrict access to only certain white listed IP address or a range, please refer to Access Restriction with IP Address
Authentication
- Click on the Authentication tab.
- For the Authentication, select Form based (Multiple Access Users) .
- If you intend to Share/ Access files using the WebDav protocol, enable Allow WebDav Access.
- Click on CREATE.
To assign one or more access users to this login profile, go to Users & Roles —–> Access Users and select this login profile during create/edit user.
