Configuring Share Validity Period

The Validity Period allows you to define when a share becomes available and when it expires. Configuring a validity period is optional. If no validity period is specified, the share remains accessible until it is manually disabled or deleted.

Validity Period

Configure the following options, if required:

  • Start Date – Specifies the date and time from which the share becomes accessible.
  • End Date – Specifies the date and time after which the share is no longer accessible.

If you do not configure a validity period, users can continue to access the share without any date restrictions.
